A little history
first:
The Great New England Smoke Out began as an idea culminated from
another Cigar Related board. One of the members, Lee Tarantino
(Aka Easymark) thought that it would be great if we held a Smoke
Out. Discussions were had and the conclusion was that we would
hold one somewhere in New England, Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
Now, Jim Edwards (Aka Nestsdad), knowing full well what a partying
kind of guy I am brought this to my attention. I in turn
offered up my house and hospitality for the party. The name?
The Great New England Smoke Out.
Jim took on the responsibilities of getting sponsors, knowing full
well that we probably wouldn't get any with the exception to my
companies (nice write-off don't-cha-know). Amazingly enough,
many of the companies that Jim contacted were more than willing to
set us up! We were off an rolling!
Fun was had by all, even with
the uncooperative weather. 18 had signed up, 12 showed.
Not bad for a first time. Click HERE

So here we are, thinking about next year. Jim piped in with
"hey, why not make this an annual thing?" "Why
not". Lee and I agree.... We need a place though. So I registered
the domain, license the trade name and voila we are the real deal!
Three years later, we are a full fledged company with officers and
planning committees. Stay tuned, there are other wondrous
things in the planning for the GNESO!
