Have you ever considered quitting with a hypnosis smoking program? Smoking has been contributing to illness and deaths for years now and millions all over the country are addicted beyond belief to this habit. In addition to it being so hard to deal with the symptoms of smoking, quitting is just as difficult, if not more so, because of the addiction.  It starts by taking your first cigarette. So many convince themselves they can stop whenever they want, that they don't need the cigarettes. But then one day they wake up and realize it is too late, they are addicted and they feel powerless to quit. So, what can these people do to quit smoking? Well here are some of their options:   Chewing gum: The chewing gum contains a small amount of nicotine. This gum serves two purposes: it provides oral stimulation, which is a replacement for what is provided by smoking cigarettes; and it provides nicotine, which is the primary chemical that smokers are addicted to.    The cigarette stick: This is somewhat like a cigarette, and allows a smoker to inhale a small amount of nicotine, but without all of the other chemicals that are in cigarettes. This form of delivery results in less psychological dependence.    Cold turkey: quitting cold turkey is where the smoker just stops smoking completely and immediately. It requires a tremendous amount of will power and often doesn't stick unless combined with behavioral therapy.   The patch: similar to nicotine gum, the patch releases a regular amount of nicotine into the body. As time goes on, the amount of nicotine released gets less and less, until eventually there is little dependence on nicotine. It doesn't, however, address the active part of smoking, that is, the oral stimulation.   Hypnosis smoking programs: self-hypnosis to quit smoking is purely behavioral. It is inexpensive and highly effective. While many are successful using hypnosis by itself, it is most effective when paired with another smoking cessation approach, e.g. using the patch and a hypnosis program at the same time. One program addresses the physical dependency and one addresses the psychological dependency. Hypnosis is often credited for relieving many of the painful withdrawal symptoms associated with smoking cessation.
